Educator · Scholar · Innovator

I am a nursing education scholar focused on how nurses and nurse educators learn, teach, and grow in an increasingly digital landscape. I mentor current and future nurse educators and study the practices that help preserve judgment, integrity, and human connection as technology reshapes education.

My work sits at the intersection of teaching and technology. I examine cybercivility, cyberethics, and the thoughtful use of emerging tools such as generative AI. I am especially interested in how technology can support deeper thinking without replacing the judgment and relationships at the center of learning.

Alongside my scholarship, I create practical learning experiences, including interactive games, story-based webtoons, AI Art Codebook, Word Webtoons, and AI coaching tools, that bring these ideas directly into the work of students and educators.

AI Disclosure Coach

Disclosing AI use as professional identity, not compliance

AiDiCo helps nursing students disclose their use of generative AI the way a professional would: mapping what the AI contributed, documenting how they verified and revised it, and articulating the human judgment they brought. It reframes disclosure from a rule to follow into a habit of integrity.

Grounded in peer-reviewed scholarship:

ObjEx Coach

Objective Explore: a coaching partner for writing learning objectives

ObjEx Coach helps educators think through, draft, and revise learning objectives across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. It does not generate “final” objectives. Instead it works as a coaching and revision partner, supporting reflection, critique, and alignment with standards of quality.

Educators apply their own professional judgment, refining objectives for course context, learner level, and instructional intent. The final decisions and submissions stay with the user.

Illustrated stories that teach

Two series in the same watercolor style. One follows nurse educators through the situations they actually meet. The other takes a single English word and builds a story around it.

Nursing Education Webtoons

Nursing concepts, retold as visual stories: scroll-and-read comics and animated episodes featuring Professor Jennie, her students, and fellow educators.

Word Webtoons

A vocabulary series for anyone who works in English. Each episode takes one English word or phrase and builds a short story where you can see why someone would reach for it, so you meet the situation before you meet the definition. Vertical shorts, under ninety seconds each.
